The Steering Committee of the Center for the Humanities at UC Merced invites nominations and self-nominations from IH or Philosophy faculty at UCM for the role of Director of the Center for the Humanities, which is a 3-year term starting July 1.
If this is a nomination (vs. a self-nomination), there is a space where the nominee can upload the nominator's supporting letter. In all cases, we ask that the nominee also fill out the below webform, attach their CV, and submit a two-page single-spaced document outlining:
1. Their leadership philosophy
2. How they would balance the Center Directorship with other leadership obligations on and off campus
3. Their three-year vision for the Center
4. Several activities, events, or initiatives that they would like to see the Center pursue during the next three years
The Center's Steering Committee will evaluate the nominations and make a recommendation to the Dean. If you have any questions about the nomination process, please contact clux@ucmerced.edu.
