Graduate Fellowships for Summer Study: Language Study

These grants are intended to be used for language study that will enhance the graduate student’s preparation for the M.A. or Ph.D.  (grants of up to $5,000). Grant recipients will be required to submit a transcript of courses completed or evidence of program completion to the Center within 30 days after completion of the program.   

(the program must be pre-approved by the student’s advisor and the Center)
The purchase of equipment is generally not an allowable expense.
Refer to ACTFL standards for measuring proficiency (http://www.actfl.org/publications/guidelines-and-manuals/actfl-proficiency-guidelines-2012). Please address your level of proficiency in 1) speaking 2) reading 3) writing 4) listening.

Please provide an explanation of short-term and long-term impact. 250 word limit.
