About the speaker:

José Orduña is an essayist, immigrant, and Assistant Professor of English at Western Washington University. He writes about US imperialism in Latin America, immigrant's struggles for justice, and his experiences as a formerly undocumented person. His work has been published in The Nation, Timothy McSweeney's Quarterly Concern, and The Believer magazine.
