A Queer Latinx podcast on navigating academia, relationships & mental health. Hosted by Trans Studies scholar Dr. Jack Caraves & Political graphics scholar and visual artist Dr. Angelica Becerra p.s. there's also lots of astrology talk.

About the speakers:

Angélica Becerra (she/her/hers) is a Latinx queer immigrant artist, podcast producer & scholar of political graphics. She received her Ph.D. in Chicana/o  and Central American Studies at UCLA. Her scholarship focuses on twenty-first-century digital arts. Her artwork is primarily portraiture, with a focus on Black Indigenous and women of color activists. Her art has been featured in VICE and the LA Design Festival and exhibited at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and Self Help Graphics in Los Angeles.

Jack Caraves is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences and teaches in the Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies Program at San José State University. He received his Ph.D. in Chicana, Chicano, and Central American Studies from UCLA in 2019, and a BA from UCSC in Latin American & Latino Studies, and Politics in 2010. Jack's research focuses on the experiences of Trans Latinxs in the U.S. Jack is also co-creator and co-host of Anzaldúing It Podcast.
